I just love sites that post proof of income, but isn’t that called “Enticement“?  Mr. Kimball Roundy, in his attempt to lure you into his web, displays several tables showing what he has made using his system.  However, upon doing a bit of investigation, I find myself questioning his validity …. if you check

the DNS information available ….   seems Mr. R has put the ‘cart’ before the ‘horse’.  Check the web creation date…. AND the expiration Date….

RED FLAG WHY just register your domain for 1 year?

RED Flag: Where’s Mr. R’s current proof of earnings- AFTER the launch of his “FREE” leads generating system?

Mr. R. displays a table from November 2007 and January 2008— BEFORE he launched his Spiderweb.  Always, always, always, CHECK the DNS registration against ANY site that makes income claims.  Here’s a handy little tool to bookmark (along with my webpage – LOL )
http://www.hq42.net/net_tools/whois.php

I found a blog dated Monday, April 28, 2008, while doing some research on Mr. Roundy and this is what it said “………….Using the SpiderWeb Marketing System it’s creator, Kimball Roundy was able to rake in $73,568 Cash, 3,568 Targeted Home Based Business Leads and 156 New Home Based Business Associates in his FIRST 3 MONTHS virtually hands free and now he’s going to let you STEAL a copy of his Ground-Breaking New System for FREE!

That just doesn’t add up. The site went live in Feb 2008.  At the time of this writing, it is July 2008, the proof of income STILL remains dated Nov 2007 and Jan 2008 ……..  I smell a rat – OR someone is mis-stating something, but who is it ?????  The writer of the Blog or Mr. R himself?  If you believe the “HYPE” statement made above, then what do you do about the graphic I found somewhere else..
image What this tells me is that in 7 weeks he made $63K + 15k leads + 1,307 new recruits, but over the full 3 months – total cash generation was $73K (net gain of $10K over the remaining 5 weeks) loss of 12k leads and loss of 1,100 new recruits….. You do the math, based on the information being put out on the Internet…

Stay tuned for more updates …

  1. A Different look at the Spiderweb Marketing System

  1. Comment by Michael – For those of you who don’t know, the person responsible for the Spiderweb Marketing System is a man named Kimball Roundy. This man Kimball Roundy is also the founder and CEO of Roundgoods. Is it a coincident that the company, Roundgoods is the same company that handles the billing for, Business Tax Advantage’s affiliate program? I think not. …….

    Hello Michael,
Thank you for your input. It’s interesting to see just how far reaching the “WEB” goes, isn’t it? Thank you for your input and comment.

  2. I am a personal friend of Kimball Roundy, but more than that, I hosted the spiderweb system on my servers for about a year as it went through it’s “crazy growth” stage.

I personally watched (and had to deal with!) one of the craziest internet explosions I’ve ever seen.

I can personally vouch for the fact that Kimball Roundy and his team generated over 700,000 leads in that year! It was unbelievable. The nightmare my tech guys had to deal with in getting those e-mails out and into inboxes was a major problem, none of us was prepared.

As a matter of fact, I have to take some of the blame for the growing pains Spiderweb went through, as none of us could predict that crazy growth- and technically, we weren’t prepared to scale that fast.

He’s in the 10 ten sponsors in GDI worldwide, and any income claims he made are true. He is also a top affiliate in several other programs, and has a great team of people working with him, all of which I know personally.

Your assessment based on how long his domain was registered for is a pretty shallow assessment. I own over 150 domains, and I only renew the very best ones for more than a year. How do you know which will be the best ones? You don’t, until the market place decides how good they are. Besides, 1 year is the default time period when somebody buys a domain, and it’s very common for people to go with the default, then just renew every year, and they don’t understand that there is a SEO negative to this strategy.

Because of that, your statement: “Always, always, always, CHECK the DNS…” just isn’t much of an indication of how successful they are online, and is probably one of the weakest methods of checking out a person’s reputation and credibility that I could think of.

I notice your blog is only 838,168 on Alexa. I think you could raise it tremendously if you stopped publishing negatives about the network marketing industry and people in it. I only scanned your blog, but it seems like there are more negatives than positives.

One of the reasons Kimball has been so successful is that he is a positive, enthusiastic person with a great head for marketing. I think that rather than taking shots at him, you should learn from him and start being more positive yourself.

Kimball Roundy is a man of integrity, and IS successful, I consider him a mentor and friend. We recently attended Stompernet’s Live 7 event in Atlanta together, and I picked up as much great marketing stuff from him as I did from the event! (which is saying a lot, given the exclusivity of Stompernets members and the high ratio of millionaires in the room and on the stage)

I will be interested to see if you let my comment remain on your blog.

  3. Thank you Dave for your comment. I post every single comment that is made on this site be it good, bad or indifferent.

Whether you are aware of it or not, showing proof of income is illegal… it’s called enticement. Check the FTC site for more information on that.

Your point on DNS checking has a great deal of validity to it; however, you have said it yourself. For those who create ‘systems’, why register for more than one year initially. You never know if it is going to work or not. If it doesn’t, then move on to some other scheme, if it does work out, great, register for another round.

It is no big surprise that Mr. Roundy is in the top 10 in GDI… everyone who joins through the Spiderweb is in his downline, most probably the case with the other affiliate programs he is at the top of. He is at the top of everything he setup in the Web.

My blog being more negative than positive? It depends on what you are looking for because it all has to do with thinking and analyzing. Some find it helpful, some don’t.

Network Marketing is a wonderful Industry, but there are negative things that happen, to ignore them is like leading sheep to slaughter. Same goes for Affiliate Marketing. Programs come and go. In both Industries, innocent, unknowing people become victims.
I will always advocate doing research before joining anything. If that is negative to you, then so be it.

It is good that you have such a great connection with Mr. Roundy. I am sure that if more people in his 700,000 downline had that same experience, they would be more successful also, but at some point, they are just numbers, people who signed up thinking it was a free way to create income and found out it wasn’t all free after all.

By the way Dave, I know this may seem a bit bizarre to you and others, but I do not maintain this blog for keyword rating, Google ranking, or Alexa’s benefit.

I do find it a bit curious that within the last few weeks, Mr. Roundy has chosen to follow me on Digg, twitter and a few other sites. I said pretty much all I have to say on the Spiderweb system last year.

  4. PS: Dave, I must amend what I said about posting all comments, good, bad or indifferent. I do not post comments that are blatant spam and have nothing to do with the content of the post…. all those posts for sex sites, pharmacy sites, ringtones, pure solicitation… I am sure you know what I am talking about since you have 150 or so registered domains.

  5. Hi Jennifer,

That is letting him have it.

I have read a couple of posts on sws that you have written.

Now that I have read through the posts and comments let me put a couple of things together for you.

The dave guy above is the same “Mr.S” that is in the comments on the other post. The email that was copy and pasted.

Mr. Roundy was trying to sell another income stream for himself and I bet Mr.”S” aka Dave Sherman was getting a cut.

They built a blog, or should I say “had a company build a blog for them” and tried to sell it off as a blog Mr.”S” built.

The nimbods didn’t change the links in the bottom of the posts and they went right back to a company called Virtual assistants in Mumbai, India

So For anyone that reads this comment, “always do your homework”
Don’t just figure the person you are giving your money to is completely honest!

    All the best,
    Rheyanna

Ps. I was a SWS member and got hung out to dry as well.

Thanks for all your help, Kimball

  6. Hello Rheyanna,

Thank you for the insights. I do not think I could say it any better than you did when you said:

“So For anyone that reads this comment, “always do your homework”
Don’t just figure the person you are giving your money to is completely honest!”

I wish you well, Rheyanna, and am sorry to hear that you too were hung out to dry. I am sure many were… and now the Spiderweb is DECEASED… but we are all expected to stay tuned for Kimball’s next grand adventure.
