Here is a ‘re-post” of a recent comment I received about the Spider Web Marketing System. I can certainly appreciate “Sam’s” Comments; however, in defense of Network Marketing as a ‘total waste of time’; it’s not. Network Marketing CAN be one of the best opportunities out there; however, using the Spiderweb Marketing as a ruler for “REAL” network marketing could lend one to thinking the whole process is a waste.
Network Marketing is actually based on building relationships. To date, I have NOT FOUND any program within the Spiderweb that focuses on building anything besides a downline – AND up to 22+ downlines at that, a few free – most paid…. along with building Kimball Roundy thousands upon thousands of new leads to suck up into his next web or to sell to Lead companies.
Below is the comment.

Hi Jen,
Interesting article, I really am thinking about writing a similar blog! You make some good points. I had joined the SWS, a few months ago being relatively new to all this online
networking, and realised that it truly is all hype. The only people making money are the ones at the top, who do have the skills and know how of luring newbies into their system. SWS is a total waste of time, the blog system I was hoping for never materialised, all the hype in the video tutorials about, you don’t have to chase leads etc.. is total rubbish, they just lead you to the same old crap they promoted they weren’t.
The uplines are totally useless, who just promote you more junk to join. SWS forums has been down for time, and there is no direct contact available from SWS to find out whats happening.
All this mlm, networking is a total waste of time, the more you join the more opportunities you get thrown at you. More crap to join promoting wealth and fortune, and you only end up promoting the same crap with your name and title on it! It’s crazy!
I only ever joined the GDI fortunately and saw through the farce of all the millions of other scams, costing so and so, just to make you go round scamming so other poor soul, how bloody heartless! Now you get the new generation of scams, deceiving you with VALUE, in that they show you where you went wrong in networking, and cost so and so, only to make you promote the same VALUE crap, to keep newbies or failures trapped into their networking!
Keep the posts coming Jen

Hi
I am really sorry that you feel that way about the system, but I must defend it because I have found great success with it. The blog system that the person was talking about in the article has totally been scraped and if you needed to more help you could have personally got in contact with the owner of the system on facebook or myspace. One of the things that really irritates me is that people never really get a chance to educate themselves on being better student of the game. I started in a regular mlm, using old marketing tactics to build my business and never had any kind of success. When I started to educate myself on using the internet, that is when I came across the spider web system. I have built a list of people over 500 in less than two months and had over 70 people join my opportunities inside of the system. What the system is doing for me is that I am basically piggy backing his system to help me create a massive online presence without having to bug or harass people about my opportunity. Remember the same person that created this system was in the same position that you are in right now, he just had the drive and balls to go out on a limb and control his destiny. So I am sorry that it didn’t work out for you, but if you really want a person to take you by the hand and show you how to truly harness the power of the system, just send me a email and I would love to help free of charge. Now it does not get any better than that.

You are so right. Network marketing has only taken on the persona of being a waste of time due to those that only see, and market it, as get rich quick plans.
Network Marketing is, and always will be, about personal development for anyone wanting to be a success at what they are doing.
However, I must agree with a lot of what Sam says, Internet Marketing as a whole is becoming a world of scam and spam. It really makes it difficult for those trying to do it right.
Keep up the great work Jenifer.

Carl, I don’t think you could get Sam to even consider SWS again, but is very generous of you to offer to help him at no cost.
Thanks for stopping by sharing your thoughts.

Well let me start by saying that I would still like to meet Franklyn. Has anyone seen him yet.
I joined SWM a few months ago. And the thing that stands out most to me is how quickly one can lose their sense of INTEGRITY with this system of lead capture.
When I signed up and started creating my lead capture pages to be plastered all over the internet, I noticed the the scripts were all made up. Of course anyone can change them if they wished. I read them. Let me tell you I got a very sick feeling in my stomach when in the testimonial section of the lead capture pages it says that I have already made X amount of dollars and I know that you can duplicate this too. Mind you this is paraphrased from the actual testimonial that was hoped would be left in tact before posting to the net.
Does anyone have any integrity left anymore? I deleted my account after several attempts to make contact on the forums to have issues solved.
Don’t get caught in this WEB. If it doesn’t feel right, it “ain’t”.
Thanks for the post Jennifer. Great stuff! Your posts should be making us all think a bit harder about the opportunities that we join.

I’d like contact information for Carl Walker.

Unfortunately Marilyn, I do not keep contact information for those who comment. You might be able to google search him. I would use searches like “Carl Walker spiderweb system”. or pick one of the multiple streams suggested in the program and google that affiliate program with his name. Using the ” ” in the search will narrow down your results.
I wish you the best

Hi
I agree with a load said here… and nearly got involved in it all myself and I am still following Kimball and Mike Dillard and a number of others… because I am finding some value in it… and I have not spent a penny.
what I have found is they don’t really have a business other then promote there marketing skills and they have sought to monetise as much of that as possible… i.e GDI Network, Clickbank… and god knows what else… that brings in the curious… I see it everywhere now and know the source.
I personally think the comments on here have come from intelligent people and think you have evaluated it all quite fairly… but missed a very valued lesson, because it appears you are walking away from it all with very negative views… but if you look again were you was in the scheme of things you can start to see what you need to do to turn something like this to your advantage… keep looking and all there secrets will give them self up…

Reg,
I appreciate your stopping by. You make some very valid points.
Most of these people selling Network Marketing lead systems are not building a true Network Marketing business. But there again, most people who sign up for these things don’t know that.
Lessons learned.. Interesting and true what you say about learning different things from these systems. Yesterday I was talking with a woman who has gotten hooked up with one of these affiliate systems. She was very excited that she had learned to open two windows and put them side by side on her computer.
Coming from a computer business owner background myself, I have to admit I would have thought most people know how to do this, but that was very narrow minded thinking on my part.
There was a lesson there for me… we DO have the ability to learn all sorts of things and what may seem insignificant to some could be monumental to others.
Negativity comes from disappointment. Where we might have learned something positive from the experience, the bigger fact that we feel we were misled overpowers the good lessons we might have taken away from the experience.
It goes back to the old saying “a good experience will be shared once, a bad experience will be shared 10 times”.
Thank you for dropping by Reg and sharing your thoughts…
To YOUR Success,

Hi Jennifer
My point is… observe them… don’t get the wallet out and start giving your credit card or bank details… there is no rush, don’t worry if you miss the bus… another is not far behind, make sure you know what bus your getting before jumping on…
I had to laugh when I opened my twitter account, I did not have a scooby doo what twitter was about like most people still today, recommended by spider web marketing… my first contact or follower experience went like this… "Hi I was told to follow you, will you follow me!" and the next was very similar… and then the next, and next… so funny in my eyes, the blind leading the blind.
I know now it is a micro blog to capture people with a short attention span… and hopefully lead them back to your network if you have aroused there interest for more information, hence a way of achieving quality traffic…
But I think there is more twits out there then twitters… including me! just one lesson learned by holding back but keeping a foot in the door.
My advise is, search and search some more… and quality information will prevail eventually… your first list should be your knowledge base, under various headings, group it all up, and keep track of all them platforms you are using to raise your search engine ratings, do not build or buy lists in my opinion to spam a weak business model if your heart is not in it… integrity is key if you are putting yourself on multiple platforms… for a large audience and all to see… so don’t do it.
My business model is starting to take shape just through observing others and although very weak at the moment I am excited it is my own work and I believe it has more prospects in a industry I know something about then following or being lead around on a leash.
Sincerely
Reg
