Home Based Business Requirements

If you have never been involved in creating income from home through Network Marketing, there are three basic requirements necessary.  You need an legitimate business opportunity, desire and time.

1.  The legitimate opportunity
Finding a legitimate opportunity can be challenging with all of the opportunities available on the internet. So many sites make almost insane income claims, instant riches, 15 minutes a day is all that is required, etc… Keep in mind that making income claims is illegal in the US.  It’s called enticement.  Also never forget what you were told while growing up … "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!"

Legitimate opportunities involve having viable, value priced product(s) and or service(s).  (We’ll discuss more on this topic in another blog)

2.  Desire
It’s important to realize that there is a big difference in Need and Desire. Most all of us need to create income to meet our financial responsibilities, but some do not have the desire to do what is required.  For instance, I have a friend who tells me all the time "I need to get a part-time job", but she does not have the desire to go out and actually apply or get one.

3.  Time
If you already work a full time J.O.B., then your time is limited.  I have heard some distributors tell their prospective business partners that a home business can be built in only 6 hours a week or less.  Unless you are a super sponsor, 6 hours a week is barely enough time to even get started, especially if you are only spending an hour a day.

A more realistic assessment is to expect to put anywhere from 10-15 hours per week into actively building your business. 

Building a business from home through Network Marketing can be very rewarding whether you are looking to create as little as a few hundred dollars a month or looking to replace a full-time income.  But you need the three basics, a legitimate opportunity, true desire and a dedicated amount of time.
